How to start the integration?
You start your integration with respecting your own heritage.
In Denmark, it is very important, that you rememeber, from where you came from, what were your customs.
Moving to Denmark does not mean, that you have to hate your past or your heritage.
There will be test, to see, if you turn against your family or not.
There will be test, if your turn against the locals.
It is very important to learn the local rules as well, but you do not need to do it over.
Do not try to be a CTRL+C and CTRL+V or copy paste person...
Go with the flow.

I lived in Poland, where I learned a lot of different Romani cultures over the local Polish culture.
In my gymnasium time, Romani language was so much accepted and apperciated, that in the top gymnasium, you could get a Romani B2 language as one of your finish subject at the end of the education program. It was as valuable and gave the same points, like an English or German or French B2 language exam.
I studied English, German, French and Italian.
In my family, my grandmother used a lot of Svab words, that was not exactly Hungarian, as it means Hungarian German, so several times, I had to explain others, what do I mean....

As you see, the offical science litterature does not list Danish, as a new or specific Romani language.
When you listen to the Romani Radio in Sweden, you will hear a lot of Polish Romani.
Why?
In Sweden the official language exam, that is used to get a passport as well. It was made by the Lodz University from Poland. I visited that part of the university, when I worked for Infosys in the new location.
